So do you put up to 4 hdmi cables into reciever and only one to the t.v? and do you switch from hdmi source via reciever?

So do you put up to 4 hdmi cables of stuff like ps3 into the reciever and 1 to the tv? and if so how do you switch hdmi visual output?
